Donald M. Walker, Ed.D.
Dr. Walker is the Head Coach of the Alamo Heights High School Swimming Team and the Alamo Area Aquatic Associationís element at the San Antonio Natatorium (DT). He received his undergraduate degree form Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Masterís Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word. His Doctorate in Educational Administration was earned at Texas A & M University. Dr. Walker is a former NCAA and NAIA All-American swimmer and, has coached swimmers at all levels from novice to the Olympic Trials. He was the recipient of the 2014 NFHS Girls Texas State Coach of the Year and 2014 TISCA Girls Texas State Coach of the Year. In addition, Dr. Walker was honored as a five-time Girls and Boys Regional Coach of the Year and as the San Antonio Express-News All Area Girls Coach of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Head Age Group Coach
Rusty Ives is a graduate of University of Texas at San Antonio and also from Highlands High School. Coach Rusty competed as a Varsity swimmer for the Highlands Owls and has coached swimmers who have earned numerous honors. His swimmers have qualified for All State Honors, Sectionals and Texas Age-Group State Championships. In addition to being the Head Age Group Coach for the San Antonio Nadadores, Rusty serves as Head Coach of Incarnate Word High School and Head Coach for the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Swimming Team.
Head Novice Coach
Mrs. Marsch has more than 40 years of experience teaching toddlers and elementary school age children how to swim and basic water safety skills. She attended and Coached at the University of Minnesota.
